Transitional Challenges And Factors Affecting English-Speaking Learners In Learning The Filipino Language

Learning a new language can present numerous difficulties, especially for individuals who are native English speakers and embarking on the journey of acquiring Filipino language. This study aimed to determine transitional challenges faced by English-speaking learners during process proficiency in Filipino, as well identify factors that affect their language-learning journey. By understanding these factors, educators instructors design effective strategies interventions facilitate smoother transition into learning used qualitative research method, data were collected from 8 participants through interviews. Exploratory was carried out extract narratives experiences relevant The results showed often struggle with speaking language, particularly pronunciation, grammar structures, vocabulary. Additionally, may lose interest making acquisition more difficult. exposure target findings this will contribute existing literature second acquisition, specifically focusing affecting provide valuable insights curriculum developers develop teaching methodologies, materials, support systems successful learners.
